Eastern Cape Liquor Board to conduct Road Safety Campaign at Kei Bridge

ECLB Hits: 2145

Eastern Cape Liquor Board (ECLB) in collaboration with the Department of Transport and the South African Police Service will conduct a road block on the N2 at Kei Bridge to raise awareness on the dangers of driving under the influence  alcohol.

The campaign is prompted by the coming Easter long weekend and it seeks to enforce compliance on the national roads as many people will be traveling in and out of the province.

Driving under the influence of alcohol has been associated with many road fatalities and the campaign will serve to check compliance with road rules including identifying those who continue to drive under the influence of alcohol.

Media is, therefore, invited to the roadblock, which is schedule to take place as follows:

Date:            14 April 2022

Venue:          N2 KEI BRIDGE

Time:            09h30 – 12h00
