GRACE PERIOD FOR THE RENEWAL OF LIQUOR LICENCE WILL COME TO AN END ON 28 FEBRUARY 2023
Eastern Cape Liquor Board (ECLB) wishes to remind all licensed liquor traders that 28 February 2023 is the last day for the renewal of liquor licenses as legislated by the Eastern Cape Liquor Act No. 10 of 2003.
Liquor traders who fail to renew their licenses on 28 February will have their liquor licences cancelled with immediate effect.
In the event where liquor traders desire to trade again they will be obligated to reapply thus undergoing the same rigorous process of attaining a liquor license.
It is important to note that liquor traders who have not renewed their licenses and continue to operate their liquor outlets will be violating the law, and necessary steps will be taken against them.
ECLB further extends a word of appreciation to all the licensed liquor traders that have already renewed their liquor licences.
