CALL FOR NOMINATIONS TO SERVE ON THE AUDIT COMMITTEE OF THE EASTERN CAPE LIQUOR BOARD

The entity wishes to invite nominations for the appointment to the Audit Committee in terms of section 77 of the Public Finance Management Act No. 1 of 1999.  One vacancy currently exists in the ECLB Audit Committee that needs to be filled to assist the entity to comply with the PFMA and related legislative framework.

 

Requirements: Nominees must be in possession of a relevant three-year degree/ qualification in Information and Communication Technology. A postgraduate degree/qualification will be an added advantage.

 

Experience and Skills: 
Public sector experience
● Corporate governance & financial management experience
● Understanding of the role of the public entity Boards
● Experience in risk management practices
● Understanding of internal controls
● Understanding of the PFMA, Treasury Regulations and related legislation governing public entity administration
● Understanding the role of internal and external auditors
● Understanding Public Service Regulations framework.
● Extensive expertise in ICT governance, strategy & its implementation, ICT investment as well as monitoring the management and mitigation of ICT risks.
● Knowledge and understanding of King IV Report on Corporate Governance.
● Well-developed business acumen and leadership skills.
● Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
