EASTERN CAPE LIQUOR BOARD HOSTS ANTI PENS DOWN AT KWAZAKHELE HIGH SCHOOL

The Eastern Cape Liquor Board (ECLB) cordially invites media representatives to its Anti-Pens Down Campaign, aimed at discouraging the harmful culture of post-examination parties among learners.

As the end-of-year examinations approach, ECLB intensifies its efforts to raise awareness about the dangers of excessive alcohol consumption and related risks associated with Pens Down parties.

ECLB is extremely concerned with the growing cases of Pens Down parties that are being coordinated by learners to celebrate the end of the examinations. It has, therefore, become necessary for ECLB to embark on a concerted effort to raise awareness and educate learners about this detestable behaviour.

Schools from KwaZakhele Township and surrounding areas such as Newbrighton Township and Zwide Township will participate at the Campaign, which will also be attended by various stakeholders from the Metropolitan Municipality and the District Municipality

Details of the Campaign are as follows:

Date:                   02 October 2024

Time:                   10h00

Venue:                KwaZakhele High School
