Eastern Cape Liquor Board in partnership with Nelson Mandela Traffic Department will launch its Festive Season Campaign by mounting roadblocks in Gqeberha.

Driving under the influence of alcohol is often cited as one of the main causes of many road accidents in the province.

Eastern Cape Liquor Board seeks to reduce road fatalities by encouraging motorists to be considerate and consume alcohol only at the end of their trips.

The campaign will further seek to urge motorists to observe Covid 19 health protocols by ensuring that passengers wear masks and sanitise regularly.

Media is, therefore, invited to the roadblock, which is scheduled to take place as follows:

Date: 10 December 2021

Venue: N2 Neptune- N2 Baywest, R75 and M19

Time: 10h00 – 15h30
